Serving Women in Need in Maine

Serving Women in Need in Maine

For almost twenty years, Women in Need, Inc has taken pride in helping our low income immigrant families succeed in Maine.

Established in 2002, WINI has helped over 1400 immigrant women and their families in Cumberland County with necessary resources that they request.

Festival of Nations

In 2003, WINI also established The Greater Portland Festival of Nations, the oldest and largest diversity festival in Northern New England, geared to celebrate Maine’s immigrant populations. Our intention for the Festival of Nations is to connect shared thought between our immigrant and native Maine populations.
